Healing Brunch in the Jungle of Costa Rica
{Healing Arts Ceremonies} Intentional Acts of Healing in ways that are Entertaining
The Healing Arts Brunch Ceremony is a journey that combines music, movement, visual art, introspection, and communal dining.
Our three-hour journey into magic starts with 1h30 of
self-expression and introspection through ecstatic dance & visual art,
guided by a transformative global music set.
We finishes with a family-style brunch where we celebrate food as medicine and entertainment as much as conversations, sharing and gratitude.

"If we don’t embrace movement, music, food, and art as medicine, we may find ourselves seeking medicine to replace what they were always meant to heal."
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
1. Is this a religious or spiritual event?
No, this is not tied to any religious practice. However, it is a ceremonial experience that invites personal transformation through music, movement, and community. It is open to all backgrounds and beliefs.
2. Is this event for everyone, even if I don’t dance or paint?
Yes! No prior experience in dance or art is needed. The focus is not on skill but on self-expression. You can participate however you feel comfortable—whether moving, creating, or simply listening and absorbing the experience.
3. Are these open events with set dates or can I bring a private group at the date of our choice?
Both options exist. We need a minimum of 10 people to run this event, and a maximum of 50. In the form, you can tell us how many people are in your party.
4. What is the Brunch & Healing Arts Ceremony?
The Brunch & Healing Arts Ceremony is a unique experience that combines healing through music, movement, visual art, introspection, and communal dining. It begins with a hour and a half healing arts ceremony, followed by a hour and a half family-style brunch where food is embraced as medicine, just like music and movement.
Part 1 - NON VERBAL INTROSPECTIVE EXPERIENCE - 1h30
Guided by a curated musical journey that moves through different emotions and energies, you are invited to explore healing through Ecstatic Dance (moving freely to the music) and/or Visual Art (painting or drawing as a form of self-expression). This is a time for inner reflection, self-expression, and emotional release, rather than conversation.
Part 2 - COMMUNAL EATING & SHARING - 1h30
The brunch is a family-style meal where plates are placed in the center of the table for everyone to share. It is a time to transition from introspection to communal connection, enjoying food as a form of nourishment, gratitude, and healing. Food is prepared by HiR Fine Dining that was selected by OpenTable as “one of 25 dishes to travel around the world for”.
5. What kind of music is played?
The music is an eclectic, emotional journey that spans different cultures, eras, and genres. It is designed to evoke emotions, challenge perceptions, and facilitate movement and introspection.
6. What is the intention behind this experience?
This event is designed to reclaim natural elements—food, movement, music, and art—as medicine, rather than just entertainment. By engaging with them intentionally, we create space for healing, transformation, and deeper connection with ourselves and others. Healing and entertainment don’t have to be two separate and opposite activities. These ceremonies are an intentional act to bring entertainment back to the process of healing.
Each person’s experience is unique, but you may feel a range of emotions—joy, release, introspection, clarity, or even unexpected insights. The event is designed to create a safe space for healing, exploration, and connection.
7. What kind of food is served?
The menu features fresh, seasonal, and nourishing dishes, crafted with the same intention as the ceremony—to support well-being and connection. The act of sharing a meal is not just about sustenance—it is a ritual of connection, a practice of gratitude, and an extension of the healing journey. The dishes, served communally, invite conversation and the joy of coming together after a time of deep self-reflection.
Specific menu details may vary but always reflect the principles of mindful, high-quality dining.
8. Do I need to bring anything?
We recommend wearing comfortable clothing for movement and bringing a water bottle. Art supplies are provided, but you are welcome to bring your own if you have preferred materials. Bring a towel as we may play with water during hot days.
9. Where does the event take place?
The Healing Arts Brunch Ceremony is hosted at HiR Fine Dining, where we blend culinary art with healing experiences. You can find HiR Fine Dining on Google Maps or Waze.
10. How can I reserve a spot?
Reservations can be made by filling the form at the bottom of this page. Spaces are limited to maintain an intimate experience, so early booking is recommended.
11. Is this event suitable for children?
The ceremony is designed for adults or older teens who can engage in an introspective practice. If you are considering bringing a child, please contact us to discuss whether it would be a good fit.
